Bring out the gimp
Alas, poor Gibby. Yes, he still has four legs, but he hurt one of them, and it's all bent up and wrapped tightly to his body. Thanks to the emergency vet on a Sunday morning. This dog, he never hurts himself during normal business hours. He's not operating well on three legs yet...15 days to go.
Plus, we had him in the kennel for a few days last week while we were out of town, and he got a nasty case of kennel cough (a cold for dogs - and for which we made yet another vet trip to innoculate him against before we left - what good did it do??).
Have you ever heard a dog with a bad cough? Sounds like a goose caught in a bear trap.
Good times.

Oooooh. Gibby....
What happened?
Poor little guy. :-(
And yeah, kennel cough is fun. Our dearly departed Barkeley (may he rest in peace) had it when he was younger. The result was we nicknamed him "Hack" as in "ha- ha- ha- ca-hack."
Here's wishing a swift and complete recovery to Gibby Gibson!! It's no fun to be down during the holidays...although maybe better than the summer. GET WELL!
actually, my first thought is how lucky that Gibby is to have you for a mommy - emergency sunday morning vet and everything. I've already sworn that if one of our rats, as beloved and adorable as they are, ever needs the services of a vet, emergency or other, it probably ain't gonna happen. after all, the death of a pet is all part of the experience...(at least thats what I plan on telling my kids)
Awwww, poor thing. Good thing he has you taking care. What a sweet little sling. Hope he feels better soon -- no fun to be sick during the holidays!
He looks so sad! Hoping for a speedy recovery for the little guy.
