Amstel Adams in Amsterdam

Scott and I met up with Carmen for a fun, short weekend in Amsterdam. We had a bit of trouble trying to get out of Swizzy, since our plane had a problem - so they cancelled our flight, then bused us to Zurich for a much later flight. So we were supposed to be in Amsterdam by noon, but ended up getting there after eight at night. Sigh. We took a cab from the airport as small consolation.

We stayed in a lovely NH hotel right in the 9-streets area of Amsterdam. Just lovely. We spent a few fun days looking at The Houseboat Museum (Scott's passion - and it's the only one like it in the world ya know), riding on boats through canals in the city (and getting in a boat accident!), and walking around the lovely streets, and eating. Good times. One of the days was SOOOO windy, so Carmen wore her hoodie and I wore some flat earmuffs. Nice for pictures. :-)
